March 2024 was historical for the San Diego Black Panther Party. As an organization, whose mission is to serve the people in their time of need, we were blessed and honored to help facilitate “the safe release” of Mr. Rodney Kevin Danzeler, from the infamous La Mesa prison, located in Tijuana, Mexico. Ironically it’s named after the city this brother lived in, which is La Mesa, CA. After trying unsuccessfully to engage our elected officials and the American and Mexican consulates to help secure Rodney’s release. The San Diego Original Black Panther Party decided that we must help Rodney and His mother, to safely secure his safe return home.
We learned a lot from this experience because of what has happened while trying to secure Rodney’s release. The Black Panther Party will be developing a program that will help families in securing their loved ones from foreign prisons, paving the way for easier visitation of loved ones. While making US citizens receive much needed Toiletries, clothing, bedding and commissary.
We will be looking for a collaboration with the community, government and the business community.
