We All Fall

We All Fall

by Mel Vernon

we all fall sometime in our lives.

we hold on just to keep on standing

a slong as we can, as long as we can,

every child, woman, and man.

we all get just one day at a time,

make it yours or make it mine.

there is only one sun in the sky,

let it shine, let it shine

on your face and mine.

your mind is a boat in the ocean of thought,

twisting a thread to the end is a knot.

you thought: what it is, but it is not.

the wind blows, the wind blows,

like leaves we move wherever it goes.

we ride the wave together, we flow,

holdingo n and never letting go,

holding on and never letting go.
