In the wake of ICE Raids in Minnesota, some tribal nations are issuing tribal IDs for free, and even paying for passports for their members.
Some tribes in the upper Midwest are offering tribal IDs for descendants of enrolled tribal members. These are individuals whose blood quantum diminished by intermarriage with members of other tribes or to non-Indians.
