Lumbee Guaranty Bank Appoints New Regional Director

Lumbee Guaranty Bank is pleased to announce that Marcus Bryant has been hired as a Regional Executive. Marcus is a native of Pembroke and a graduate from the University of North Carolina at Pembroke. Marcus is also a graduate of the North Carolina School of Banking and the RMA-East Carolina University Commercial Lending School. He has over 18 years of banking experience in the Lumberton and Pembroke areas.

Marcus has been an active member of the Pembroke Area Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors, and Glenflora Board of Directors. Marcus also volunteers his time as a Youth Soccer and Basketball coach with Pembroke Recreation. Marcus is an active member of Island Grove Baptist Church.

Lumbee Guaranty Bank was founded in Pembroke, North Carolina in 1971 by members of the Lumbee Tribe. It was the first Native American-owned bank in the United States. The Lumbee Tribe was fderally recognized in 2026.
