On 6 July 2025, Father Williams MSJC took over the six parishes of the Indigenous Catholic Diocese of San Bernardino with permission from Bishop Gomez which includes six tribal nations.

This parish is ninety miles long and requires extensive traveling. This is like Nicholas Black Elk, (author of Black Elk Speaks) who became a Catechist (a Catholic lay preacher) who traveled with the priest on the Pine Ridge Reservation.

Instead of a horse there is the car. Every week is a different reservation. Father Earl Henley is going to stay on in the position of vicing vicar to assist and continue relationships.
