Elegance On The Ocean

In March I decided to take a cruise on Carnivals Miracle, making its way from Long Beach to Ensenada, and Cabo San Lucas, Mexico. My guest was world traveler Dr. Shawky Saad. Carnivals Miracle and many of their other ships specialize in fun for the family and kids. Our purpose however was to dine in Nick and Nora’s steakhouse. Although we danced the night away in the Dr. Frankenstien’s Nightclub and enjoyed the Punchline Comedy Club, there was a big surprise waiting for us. One surprise was running into Robert Karman, the Hotel Director. Mr Karman has a wealth of knowledge and has traveled throughout the world.

On our last of the 5 day cruise we were introduced to Cristy Torbeles, the steakhouse manager.. When it applies to class and elegance Cristy Torbeles has all the qulifications. Our entrance to Nick and Nora’s was a wonderful welcoming from Cristy escorting us to a ocean view table.

Culinary Journey

The steakhouse chef, Bijoy Gopinathan and the executive chef Ajaykumar Kuppakkattu greeted us with a wonderful selection of sorbets. We were then introduced to our servers, Florin Ruxandru and Analyn Mercado, both very knowledgeable on wines and various selections of cuisine.

I ordered the Jumbo Shrimp and Shawky ordered Oysters Rockafella and Crabcakes. What a wonderful culinary journey  with the addition of wine from Napa Valley. The main entre was a Filet Mignon with peas and mash potatoes with homemade gravy. Shawky ordered Filet Mignon and Lobster. ‘I’m overwhelmed with such a delicious meal,” stated Dr. Saad

Desert

Art On The Table with an array of sauces and different colors. This was one of the most glorious experiences and deserves on a scale of 1-10 a 10 for excellent service and cuisine. For more information on Carnival Fun Ships go to Carnival.com
