Dr. AkilahWeber’s Book and Laptop Giveaway
On April 5, 2024, Dr. Akilah Weber and the UnitedWay hosted a splendid event for the communities’ children at the JackieRobinson YMCA. The event included Sesame Street characters like Elmo and Ernie.Weber, who is the 79th District’s assemblymember, and volunteers gave awaybooks, laptops, and cool swag (T-shirts and coffee mugs) to nearly a thousandchildren. The volunteers did an exceptional job of organizing and encouragingthis fun-filled event.
