Several back-to-school events are happening in Northern Nevada, particularly in Reno, to help students prepare for the new school year. These events include resource fairs, vaccine clinics, and celebrations.

Here’s a list of some events:

• WCSD Back to School Expo: This event, hosted by the Washoe County School District, will be held at the Reno Town Mall on August 10th. It’s an opportunity to learn about the school district, meet staff, and access resources like bus routes and nutritional programs. They will also be distributing free backpacks and school supplies.

• Back to School & Family Resource Event: Hosted by Catholic Charities of Northern Nevada, this event will be at the Moana Neighborhood Center on August 3rd. It will offer resources, school supplies, and potentially a coat giveaway.

• Reno 4+ Back to School Vaccine Clinic: Northern Nevada Public Health is hosting a vaccine clinic on August 10th at their location on E 9th St. They will be offering vaccines for students of various ages.

• Nevada Urban Indians Back to School Event: This event will take place at the Boys and Girls Club on E. Ninth Street.

• Back to School Bash: Nevada Moms is hosting a Back to School Bash on August 4th, with free food, school supplies (while supplies last), and more.

• Playcation - Back to School Party: The National Bleeding Disorders Foundation is hosting a party at Coconut Bowl @ Wild Island on August 3rd. It includes bowling, rides, and a pizza buffet, with free backpacks and supplies for registered students.

• Open House: Back to School: Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northern Nevada is hosting an event on August 6th with goal planning, school supply personalization, and a photo backdrop.
