A theatrical fashion show with singers, dancers, professional models, and guest models in recovery will be presented by Gretchen Productions, featuring several local boutiques and Macy’s Fashion Valley. A segment of the show will highlight models in recovery.

We are proud to announce the 2023 PATH to Recovery honorees: Jeanne McAlister and Dr. Cecil H. Steppe, who will be recognized at the event for their work in reducing the stigma associated with substance use disorders.

September is National Alcohol & Drug Addiction Recovery Month. Strut for Sobriety! coincides with efforts made throughout the country to end discrimination against individuals who struggle with substance use disorders. Addiction is a public health problem that affects millions of Americans, regardless of age, cultural background, gender, race, or profession.

The event benefits the mission and projects of A New PATH (Parents for Addiction Treatment & Healing), including their lifesaving overdose prevention and Narcan (a safe drug that can reverse an opioid overdose) distribution.

A New PATH has been working for 24 years to reduce the stigma associated with addictive illness through education and compassionate support, and advocate for therapeutic rather than punitive drug policies.
