Moapa Band of Paiutes hosted the 1st Annual Social Powwow on November 8th & 9thin Moapa, Nevada at the powwow grounds located near the Moapa Travel Plaza. The MC was Tyson Shaye from Fort Hall. Some of the head staff included Southern host drum, Strictly Southern (ABQ, NM), head gourd dancer Paige Burgess (OK),and head woman dancer Shay Westspirit (Moapa, NV). My friends and I noticed the relaxed ambiance and positive energy radiating from the powwow circle. It was an awesome powwow that offered healing to all Nevada residents through this gathering. All I can say is thank you and I look forward to next year.
